License Agreement

Single-User License Agreement

Every product you buy from the ClassroomWars AI store is a license for one teacher to use it with their own students. It is not a transfer of ownership, and it does not cover other teachers.

1. Acceptance

You must agree to this Single-User License Agreement (the "Agreement") to buy from the ClassroomWars AI store. By checking the agreement box at checkout, or by downloading, opening or using any store product, you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not complete your purchase or use the product.

This Agreement is between you and ClassroomWars AI ("ClassroomWars," "we," "us"). Some products are created by independent teachers who sell through our store ("Sellers"); for those products, the license is granted on behalf of the Seller as well as ClassroomWars. This Agreement applies to every product you buy unless a product page states different terms.

2. Definitions

  • Product means any lesson, game, worksheet, slide deck, printable, digital file or other resource you buy or download from the ClassroomWars AI store, including updates we provide.
  • You means the one individual teacher whose name, email or account was used to buy the Product. A license is personal to that individual, even when a school or district pays for it.
  • Your Students means the students you personally teach, plus their parents or guardians when you send work home.
  • Your Classroom means any setting where you personally teach Your Students, including in person, remote, hybrid, tutoring and homeschool.

3. License grant

When you pay for a Product, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use it for one teacher only. One purchase equals one license for one teacher.

This license lets you download the Product, keep copies on your own devices, and print or reproduce it as many times as you need for Your Students. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved.

4. What you may do

  • Download the Product and store it on devices you personally use.
  • Print unlimited copies for Your Students.
  • Display or project the Product in Your Classroom.
  • Share it with Your Students through a password-protected learning platform (such as Google Classroom, Canvas or Schoology) that only Your Students can access.
  • Send printed or digital copies home to Your Students and their families for that student's own use.
  • Edit or adapt editable Products for Your Students, as long as you keep the copyright notice and do not redistribute your edited version.
  • Keep using the Product with future classes for as long as you teach, as long as you follow this Agreement.

5. What you may not do

The Product is for you and Your Students only. You may not:

  • Share, email, forward, copy or give the Product, or your download link, to any other teacher, aide, tutor, school, department or district. A substitute teacher covering Your Classroom may use it with Your Students during that coverage.
  • Upload the Product to a shared drive, team folder, school server, intranet or curriculum library that other staff can reach.
  • Post the Product on any public or open website, blog, social media, file-sharing service or resource marketplace.
  • Make copies for another teacher's students, or for a whole grade level, school or district.
  • Sell, resell, rent, sublicense, trade or give away the Product, in whole or in part, including in modified form.
  • Claim the Product as your own work, or remove copyright, trademark or ClassroomWars notices.
  • Use the Product, or any part of it, to build a competing product, or to train or feed an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system.
  • Share your ClassroomWars account login with anyone else.

If a colleague likes a Product, please send them to the store so they can get their own license.

6. Licenses for other teachers and schools

Each teacher who uses a Product needs their own license. You can buy licenses for up to 50 teachers in one purchase by choosing the number of teachers at checkout. Each license costs the same as a single license.

When you buy licenses for more than one teacher:

  • One license is yours. After checkout, you assign the others by entering each teacher's email address, and we send each teacher their own download link.
  • Each license is personal to the teacher it is assigned to. That teacher may use the Product only as this Agreement allows, with their own students.
  • Do not give the file itself to anyone who has not been assigned a license.
  • You may move a license to a different teacher only before the first teacher downloads the Product. After that, contact us.

A purchase made on behalf of a school covers only the number of teachers purchased, not the whole school.

Schools, departments and districts that want campus-wide or district-wide use can email support@classroomwars.ai to ask about a site license.

7. Ownership

ClassroomWars, or the Seller who created the Product, owns all rights, title and interest in every Product, including copyrights, trademarks, artwork and game designs. Buying a Product gives you a license to use it, not ownership of it.

8. Termination

This license lasts until it is terminated. It ends automatically if you break this Agreement. When it ends, you must stop using the Product and delete or destroy all copies you hold. We may also suspend or close your account and pursue any remedy the law allows. If a purchase is refunded, your license to that Product ends and you must delete your copies. Sections 5, 7, 9 and 10 survive termination.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Products are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for deciding whether a Product is right for Your Students.

To the fullest extent the law allows, ClassroomWars and its Sellers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim about a Product is limited to the amount you paid for it.

10. General

  • Refunds. Refunds are covered by our [Refund Policy](/policies/refund-policy).
  • Governing law. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
  • Changes. We may update this Agreement. The version you agreed to at checkout applies to that purchase.
  • Entire agreement. This Agreement, together with our [Terms of Service](/policies/terms-of-service) and [Privacy Policy](/policies/privacy-policy), is the full agreement between you and us about Products.
  • Severability. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
